The Demarcation of Jack Fractured Fidelities Trilogy Book 1 edition by Dana Bennett Blakely Bennett Literature Fiction eBooks

WOW!! I loved this story! Blakely and Dana Bennett knocked it out of the park! The concept of open relationships was dealt with honestly and respectfully. I kept swinging (no pun intended!) back and forth about my feelings on the situation (agree/disagree). I really liked Marc and by the end I also grew very fond of Jack. Frankly, all four characters were written believably and had very distinct personalities. On top of that, the vacation spot was described so wonderfully that I felt like I was at that Jamaican Couples resort with them! :)

The authors did a terrific job of demonstrating how something that sounds good in theory can backfire in actuality. No spoilers, so I'll just say that one of the four people started out thinking this sounded like a great idea and was really just in it for kicks and giggles. While another of the foursome was very hesitant at first, but decided to try it after the initial attraction began to develop into something more. One partner witnessing the growing emotional attachment of his mate to another caused the budding, carefully orchestrated relationships to fracture. All of this was done seamlessly with four POV's, which I loved. It gave the story even more depth. Plus, Blakely and Dana did a fantastic job with the dialogue. I'm a big fan of stories where the characters tell me who they are through their own words and actions, rather than the author telling me, through thoughts, how I should feel/think about a situation or character.

I also thought that Blakely and Dana did a great job, through their characters, of differentiating between swinging and having an open relationship--polyamory. Some may think it's just semantics, but after reading this, I can see the difference. I also think that they demonstrated the 'snag' or hang up that most people would find themselves confronted with in this type of relationship. I felt it was handled honestly and respectfully. The ending was what I was hoping for and also felt was the right choice for the characters as written.

I am really looking forward to the next book in the Fractured Fidelities series. :)

The Demarcation of Jack Fractured Fidelities Trilogy Book 1 edition by Dana Bennett Blakely Bennett Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

After reading the third offering by this spousal team, one by each individual, and now this tandemly written novel, I can say I am a fan of their coming together on this and future projects.
I must say that I never noticed the well placed color difference in the title word with its’ play on words and the pertinence to the story. How did I miss that in the first place?
I see where Dana & Blakelys’ background and training comes into play in the story line as they develop the characters. Jack, the main character certainly goes through changes in his progression. First you think he’s an ass. Then you grow to love him. Then you hate him and so the cycle goes. How he ends up in your mind is where the surprise ending takes you.
Regardless of what you may think of the lifestyles portrayed herein, the underlying theme throughout is about total honesty and full communication with those you love as well as people in general. As an upfront kind of guy I appreciate the tone that is evident from cover to cover. While not everyone can handle openness and honesty, it is a worthy pursuit nonetheless.
What that has to do with Jack is where the growth comes in.

All I can say is WOW! The four main characters in this book were well thought out and their emotions were very tangible. This book was well constructed showing POV from all four of the main characters. After completing this first book in the trilogy, I came looking for book 2 in the trilogy. I was disappointed that is has not been published yet even though this one was published in 2015, which is why I am giving this only 4 stars instead of 5.

Jack and Jenna have hit a rough spot in their marriage and are taking a vacation to Jamaica to rekindle the flame in their relationship and Jack invites their friends Marc and Summer to join them. But what happens to rekindle the “flame” may not be exactly what Jack is looking for but has it already crossed the boundaries?

I really hope that book 2 is published soon so I can see if Jack and Jenna’s relationship and their friendship with Marc and Summer have survived the decisions and actions that took place in Jamaica.
For me, someone with fairly traditional views on love, relationships and marriage, this book was a real eye-opener. As a hopeless romantic who always leans toward monogamy, I was surprised to find myself being caught up in and swept away by the intricacy and inner workings of a more open (polyamorous) arrangement. Without disclosing any spoilers, I can say that the two couples—Summer and Marcus, Jenna and Jack—really set the pages on fire. The level of heat and sensuality is off the charts. But, don’t let the steamy factor fool you; there was also great character development, depth of emotions, devotion and growth. So, if you feel like taking a step on the wild side while maintaining quality and substance, then do yourself a favor and download The Demarcation of Jack. Dana and Blakely Bennett make a fabulous writing team. You won’t be disappointed.
Blakely and Dana TOTALLY blew my mind with The Dematcation of Jack. Jack in an artist and if you know artists they are extremely passionate and a bit eccentric. Jenna is a food critic for a newspaper and Jacks love. They find themselves in a rut as is not unheard of in the realm on marriage. I loved that it was not you typical contemporary romance.. This book is real and you can feel the emotions and the turmoil within the relationship. Enter Marc and Summer and a wicked trip to Jamaica and you have the Demarcation of Jack. The openess of Summer and Marc are truly that of an open marraige and it touches on the deeper connection that is needed to be able to form such a bond to be abel to trust and be open in a way that most people will never experience. I am hoping that this is not the last we hear of the two couples. I truly adore all of them. I was torn emotionally with the twists and turns throughout the book. The lesson hear is to ALWAYS be honest and ALWAYS have open communication.. Thank you for bringing this Fabulous book to life for me Blakely and Dana.......
